Jam Up! Summer Update: New Features, Events and Resources
It’s hot, hot, hot here at the moment! At Jam Up! headquarters, we have one young person who has continued trying to sleep under a winter duvet — with a blanket over his head — so we know how tricky sensory preferences and routines can be.
Over the last few months, we’ve been listening to feedback from families, children, schools, professionals, events, surveys and our in-app feedback.
Whilst it is clear that Jam Up! is helping many families with everyday routines, children want it to feel more fun!
So we’re working on some new updates, including:
- more rewards and pet interaction
- clearer task steps
- extra toothbrushing options, such as spit toothpaste and wipe mouth
- more ways for children to feel motivated and involved
Below is a sneak peak of what is to come. We are aiming to get these changes live by mid-July!

On the Road
We’ll be out and about over the next couple of months, including at the National Neurodiversity Show Coventry, SEND Fest Essex, and the University of Plymouth SEND Conference.
If you’re coming along to any of these events, please do come and say hi.

Research Progress:
Our NIHR-funded project with the University of Plymouth is continuing to make good progress, which will help us to better understand how Jam Up! can support children, young people and families in real daily routines.
