Jam Up! is getting more fun: new rewards, pets and routine support

New Jam Up! features are coming soon

We wanted to share a behind-the-scenes update on what we’ve been working on at Jam Up! 

Over the last year, we’ve been listening carefully to feedback from children, families, schools, professionals, events, surveys and our in-app feedback.

That feedback has been incredibly helpful.

One message has come through clearly:

Jam Up! is helping families with everyday routines — but children want it to feel even more fun, rewarding and engaging.

So we’ve been working on new features and improvements to make Jam Up! more playful, more motivating and clearer to use.

What’s changing?

We are working on updates including:

  • more rewards
  • more pet interaction
  • pet room accessories
  • treats and level-ups
  • real-life rewards
  • clearer task steps
  • extra toothbrushing options, including spit toothpaste and wipe mouth

These updates are being shaped by real feedback from children, families and professionals who understand how daily routines can feel at home.

Why this matters

For many families of children and young people with additional needs, everyday routines are not always simple.

Tasks like getting dressed or brushing teeth can affect family stress, child confidence, independence, emotional regulation and the whole feel of the day.

Jam Up! breaks routines down into visual, step-by-step support, with playful rewards and pet-based motivation to help children feel more involved.

The aim is not to make routines perfect.

The aim is to make them feel more manageable, more predictable and, where possible, more fun.

Built with families, not just for families

Jam Up! continues to grow through feedback from the people using it.

Children have told us they want more pets, more rewards and more reasons to come back.

Families have helped us understand where routines need to be clearer, more flexible and more realistic.

Professionals have helped us think about how Jam Up! can fit into wider support for children and young people with additional needs.

That feedback is now shaping what we build next.

Coming soon

We are aiming to get these improvements live by mid-July, ready for the National Neurodiversity Show in Coventry and SEND Fest at Marsh Farm.

We’ll keep sharing updates as the new features go live.
